  • What is AREXVY?

    AREXVY is an FDA-approved vaccine for the prevention of lower respiratory tract disease (LRTD) caused by respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in:

    • people 60 years of age and older;
    • people 50 through 59 years of age at increased risk* for LRTD caused by RSV

    *Increased risk includes people with conditions like respiratory, liver, cardiovascular, or kidney disease, or diabetes.

  • Why should someone who is 60+ years or who is 50-59 years at increased risk for RSV consider getting AREXVY?

    AREXVY was proven effective in a large study with people 60+ years.

    • Over 82% EFFECTIVE in preventing lower respiratory disease from RSV in people aged 60 years and older
    • Over 94% EFFECTIVE in preventing lower respiratory disease from RSV in people aged 60 years and older with asthma, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic heart failure (CHF), advanced liver or kidney disease, or any chronic respiratory/pulmonary disease

    Effectiveness in adults 50-59 at increased risk* was based on the immune response compared to that seen in adults 60+.
